RHONE STYLE BLEND - 52% SYRAH, 36% GRENACHE, 8% Mourvedre, 6% Counoise
Syrah and Grenache are familiar Rhone varietals yet Cinsault and Counoise are less known. Both the Cinsault and the Counoise are primarily used as blending grapes in the famous Rhone valley. These grapes are rare in France and even more scarce in California, yet ours are sourced right here from local Paso Robles Vineyards.
Syrah and Cinsault provide heavy full-bodied characteristics while Grenache and Counoise are light and bright, creating a balanced and harmonious blend. This wine has a nice balance between fruit, light tannin, and slight dryness.
Big Shot has floral notes, with bright strawberry, raspberry, dried red currant, and tart cherry fruits. There's a hint of pepper spice and slight smoke. It has low levels of tannin and medium acidity, making this wine a foody lover’s ideal wine.
Food Pairings: Hearty heavy meals pair excellently with this wine. Boeuf Bourguignon with buttered peas and fresh French bread to sop up the gravy. Pair with classic Brie, aged hard goat’s cheese, mild soft Fontina, Camembert, and Comte.
